Posterity is watching you
“Na wa o! Which one be posterity is watching you, him get eyes?” Was the question someone asked me not quite long when he heard me say this-posterity is watching you. (Sorry if you don’t understand the first sentence of this article, is just the Nigerian way of saying- how do you mean by posterity is watching you.) This quickly made me realise that this guy does not know why he was created. And am sure he is not the only person in this rather unpalatable zone.
How can someone be living a life without having in mind of leaving a good legacy behind? What will the generation yet unborn say about us if they eventually realise that we didn’t do the rights we were suppose to do? D you think they will be happy? I know some people will at this point be saying- and so?
If those that lived before us hadn’t paid attention to the watchful eye of posterity, do you think you will be enjoying most of the good things you enjoys? Do you know that the joy that comes from giving is greater than that which comes from receiving? Give your time, money, love, experience, knowledge etc.
How many people have you led into drugs, smoking, indiscriminate sex etc? Do you think you are not going to pay for all these? How many times have you heard a cry for help and feel less concerned? Don’t ask me what to do to be seen from favourable perspective by posterity. Just look around and you must see an opportunity to help. Tell me what you feel about this post by commenting on this post.
